L.L.Bean’s Mobile Selling & Student Ambassadors Named Silver Winner

June 23, 2020 | In their virtual Gala announcing the winners of the 2020 Ex Awards, Event Marketer announced L.L.Bean’s Pop-Up Retail & Student Ambassador Program in Fall 2019 as a Silver Winner in the category for Best Millennial or Gen Z Campaign. To be named among the top three experiential marketing campaigns in this category is not only an outstanding achievement for team members of L.L.Bean and Newbridge, but also a testament to the long relationship Newbridge has built with L.L.Bean consistently developing and enhancing programs to build on previous success.

April 23, 2020 | The editors of Event Marketer have narrowed down over 1,000 entries in 31 different event-based categories to recognize the top experiential campaigns from the past year. Newbridge Marketing Group and long-time brand partner L.L.Bean have been announced as finalists in the Best Millennial or Gen Z Campaign category for the Fall 2019 pop-up retail campaign that utilized a long-standing student ambassador program as the unique, strategic promotional element to drive sales and awareness.

According to Event Marketer’s website, “The Ex Awards is the world’s largest recognition program for event marketing professionals, and the only competition judged entirely by brand marketers.” With categories like Best Consumer Event, Best Sports Environment, Best Sampling Event, and more, the Ex Awards encapsulate and recognize nearly all elements of an exceptional experiential marketing campaign or activation.

Recognized in the top three of the Best Millennial or Gen Z Campaign category, Newbridge took two successful, repeat programs with L.L.Bean and overlapped them at the same college campuses to increase impact and create a cohesive, sales-based program. The L.L.Bean Mobile Selling program visited dozens of campuses in target sales markets, executing 72 unique event selling days and driving over $1MM in product sales. Across an overlapping 10-week period, Newbridge recruited and hired student ambassadors to represent the brand on their campus, create unique branded content for L.L.Bean, and promote the pop-up retail shop before it arrived at the school. Through 500+ pieces of branded content, the Student Ambassadors authentically represented the brand to their followers and garnered over 443,000 social media impressions.
