How We Did It
We developed a solution for Verizon that consisted of a variety of our capabilities to reach the highest number of college students as possible. We fired off email blasts to returning students promoting off-campus FiOS product offers in addition to leveraging web ads and social media for individual bookstore websites. We placed Verizon FiOS signage in high traffic locations and distributed collateral in more than 50 campus bookstores. Our brand ambassadors played an essential role in this program as they directly engaged students on high-value campuses for Verizon. For extended reach, we streamed Verizon’s video campaign over our campus TV network.
Our platforms were deemed successful when compared to other programs in market targeting college students. Our email blasts boasted an above-average open rate of 36% and a 3.8% click-thru rate. We captured 763,000 web impressions. And, in addition to garnering such successful numbers through digital, we further differentiated FiOS from other Verizon competitors with the help of our brand ambassadors.
